WITH the current National Hunt racing season due to end on Tuesday, 30th April at the time of writing West Somerset based Philip Hobbs and Johnson White who train at Bilbrook alongside the A39 have so far notched up 34 winners, writes Richard Walsh.

Over the course of the last few days the duo have added two more winners to their list of successes this season.

Last Friday Solar System won a handicap hurdle over two miles one furlong at Fontwell Park. The five year old owned by JP Mc Manus was ridden by Ben Jones and went off at 3-1 favourite.

Earlier this week Imperial Sant finished eight lengths in front to win a handicap hurdle over two miles four furlongs at the West Wales racecourse at Ffos Las.

It was ridden by stable jockey Michael Nolan and is owned by the Richard Johnson Racing Club, who himself was the long time stable jockey for the yard. The six year old went off as 9-4 favoruite.

Before the end of the season on April 30th Philip and Johnson’s Sandhill Racing Stable have several more entries and will be hoping to add a few more to their tally before then.
